In 1988, Aarhus Charter was established by the sisters Jette Rantala and Ulla Stæt Andersen, who were born and raised in Borum near Aarhus. Ulla and Jette's vision was to have the guest at the heart of their travel arrangements and genuinely wished to provide them with a great holiday. In addition, they emphasized the importance of personal contact, both with the office in Denmark and with the travel guides at the destinations, who are Danish and highly present.
In 2014, Bjarke Hansen, Henrik Søndergaard, and Henrik G. Jensen took over ownership from Primo Tours. Their goal has never been, and still isn't, to become the largest, but rather the best, and Århus Charter has been awarded Denmark's Best Charter Operator a total of 7 times.
